Q: What does the Warranty Forever program cover?
A: Warranty Forever covers parts and labor on all approved engine, transmission and driveline failures including applicable seals and gaskets. See the reverse side of your Warranty Forever agreement for a list of all the covered components and disclosures.
Q: What do I have to do to keep the Warranty Forever in effect?
A: Simply maintain the vehicle at either one of the Shields Auto Group dealerships (or at the pre-authorized facility of your choice) in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Schedule. Note that the recommended maintenance must be performed within 1 month or 1,000 miles of it being due.
Q: Where can I find the Manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Schedule for my vehicle?
A: Maintenance schedules are typically found in your vehicle owner’s manual. In the event that your owner’s manual is lost, or was not available when you purchased your vehicle, you can find the maintenance required for your vehicle’s year, make and model by clicking on: www.edmunds.com/car-maintenance/guide-page.html. Q: Do I always have to service the vehicle at one of the Shields Auto Groups dealerships?
A: Although we ARE your authorized Warranty Forever facility and the best place to service your vehicle you are buying from us, you don’t necessarily have to service it here. If you choose to have your maintenance performed elsewhere BE SURE TO CALL 1-800-810-8458 to get pre-authorization PRIOR to having the work performed. For maintenance performed at pre-authorized facilities, you must maintain your own service records and are solely responsible to ensure that the proper services are performed at the proper intervals. Q: Can I change my own oil?
A: No, you will void your Warranty Forever by not having your routine maintenance performed at a licensed facility.
Q: What if I am traveling out of town and need to have maintenance performed while I’m away?
A: Simply call 1-800-810-8458 to get pre-authorization before the maintenance is performed. You can also contact your Shields Auto Group Service Advisor if you need additional assistance.
Q: How do I make a claim if I have a breakdown?
A: Contact your Shields Auto Group Service Advisor and we will take care of all the details. You can also contact Warranty Forever Claims Specialists directly at 1-800-810-8458. Claims Specialists are available to answer your questions Monday-Friday from 8AM to 8PM (EST), and on Saturdays from 9AM to 5PM.
Q: What if I am traveling out of town and have a breakdown that would be covered under my Warranty Forever contract?
A: Your contract requires that all repairs be performed at one of the Shields Auto Group dealerships. However, if you are more than 150 miles from one of our dealerships when the breakdown occurs, you may have the pre-authorized repair work completed at any licensed repair facility. You can contact your Shields Auto Group Service Advisor or Warranty Forever Claims Specialist at 1-800-810-8458 for pre-authorization details.
Q: What is a licensed repair facility?
A: Any repair facility or dealership that employs ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) technicians. These facilities are permitted to display the ASE sign, and those in which more than 75% of the technicians are ASE certified may display the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence logo.
Q: Am I responsible for paying a deductible when making a claim?
A: There is no deductible. Warranty Forever pays 100% of all covered parts and labor.
Q: If my car needs repair work this is covered under my Warranty Forever contract am I required to pay for the work when completed and then wait to be reimbursed?
A: No. All pre-authorized repairs are paid by the National Warranty Administration Network (NWAN) by credit card. Remember: Repairs that have not been pre-authorized will not be covered!
Q: Does my Warranty Forever contract provide towing and rental car coverage?
A: No. However, towing and car rental may be covered if you purchased an extended service contract. Your Shields Auto Group Service Advisor can provide details.
